Automatic nearest-store selection
The package selects the store closest to the shopper by default and shows its name on a header button that stays visible on every page of the site.
This package lets shoppers pick a store and buy against that store's inventory list instead of the single site-wide stock a standard SFCC storefront offers. The nearest store is selected automatically, availability is validated on the product detail page and in the cart, placed orders deduct stock from the selected store's inventory list, and the choice persists per customer.
Production-ready functionality delivered as an ISV package for Salesforce Commerce Cloud.
The package selects the store closest to the shopper by default and shows its name on a header button that stays visible on every page of the site.
The header button opens a drawer listing all stores with name and address, ordered nearest first; the selected store is pinned to the top, and clicking an address opens Google Maps at the store's exact location.
As the shopper selects product attributes, the package checks the stock level in the selected store's inventory list and reports availability, for example three units left in that store.
Quantities above the store's stock cannot be added, and the add-to-cart button is blocked when the product is out of stock in the selected store. Switching stores re-evaluates immediately.
The cart re-checks every line against the selected store. Out-of-stock or over-quantity items show an error and disable proceed to checkout until the quantity is reduced or the store is changed.
Placed orders reduce the selected store's inventory list (allocation, on-hold and stock level are visible in Business Manager), not the site's main inventory list.
Guest choices are saved in the current browser; logged-in customers keep their store across browsers and devices because the selection is tied to the profile.

Point each store at its own inventory list and let online shoppers buy against local stock.
Shoppers confirm what a nearby store actually holds before deciding to buy online or reserve for pickup.
Stores and inventory lists are the standard B2C Commerce objects; no parallel stock system is introduced.
Every location keeps an independent inventory list, and the shopper-facing experience is the same: pick a source, see its real stock.
When an item is unavailable nearby, shoppers can move the whole cart's context to another store in one action instead of abandoning, and validation re-runs instantly.
Because checkout is blocked for lines the selected store cannot fulfill, orders arrive to store staff already consistent with what that location actually holds.
Availability is validated at three points: variant selection, add-to-cart and cart review, and checkout is blocked on failures.
The selected store is always visible in the header and can be switched in one tap.
Stock consumed per store keeps each location's inventory accurate after purchase.
Shoppers learn about limits before ordering, not through a canceled order or a support call afterward.
Guests get a working per-browser store choice, and the experience upgrades to cross-device persistence the moment they log in.
New locations are Business Manager data, not deployments: add a store, attach its inventory list, and it appears in the picker.
