Appspring re-architected an iFrame-embedded provider directory into a native server-rendered module, resolving SEO crawlability barriers and clinical API latency. The engagement also corrected virtual appointment friction from UTC offsets on iOS/Safari and automated post-consultation review capture.
The challenge
This section describes the situation before the engagement, so prospective clients can determine whether it corresponds to their current position.
An embedded directory blocks search indexing of provider profiles.
Repeated clinical API calls introduce latency.
iOS and Safari calendar handling produces timezone booking errors.
Patient reviews lack systematic post-consultation capture.
What was implemented
Each item below states what was delivered and the operational reason for that decision.
Native directory with crawlable URLs
Rebuilt the directory as a server-side rendered PHP module on Divi/Bricks with unique URLs per provider and multi-attribute filters.
Caching layer for clinical APIs
Implemented MySQL and wp_options caching to reduce Healthie API calls with Dockerized AWS ECS delivery.
Calendar correction and SMS review automation
Fixed UTC offsets and engineered Twilio SMS webhooks for automated review collection with GTM/GA4 and Yoast SEO measurement.
